Most of the grapes for this wine came from small vineyards near the little crossroads called Fulton, California, just off of River Road in the heart of the Russian River Valley.  We had a rare opportunity to purchase this fruit and make this terrific wine and we jumped!

You will not be disappointed in this Russian River Valley Pinot Noir!  The fruit was sourced from long-standing vineyards in the appellation.  The wine is a bright ruby color, with a lovely nose, offers delicacy and finesse, complexity and layers of fruit, excellent mouthfeel and a long, balanced finish.

If you confuse this wine with other wines at twice the price, you are in good company.  We have seen wine stewards make the same mistake with some wines with real snob appeal.  Really.  We took advantage of the economic downturn to deliver this superb wine to you at an amazing price--and no snobbery, guaranteed.  This is a handmade wine made the same way the most expensive boutique wine is made--high quality grapes tested and weighed and sorted bin by bin, cold soak for extraction, fermented in a small, open-top tank with cap punched down, put in French oak barrels about 25% new.  47 Friends Pinot Noir just costs a lot less.  Viva la consumer!
